Brushberries started with my niece, and a hairbrush she treated as the enemy.
Every morning was the same: the brush would come out, and she'd twist away, hands up, already near tears before it touched a single knot. What should have taken two minutes took twenty, and nobody won.

So I went looking for a brush actually designed around how kids' hair, and kids' patience - really works.
Something that glided instead of dragged, that she might not fight. I couldn't find one.
So a lot of trial and error and a lot of very honest small testers later, we made the first Brushberries Velvet.
The rest of the range came from the same place: real mornings, real hair types, real kids who needed something gentler. Velvet exists because of one particularly tender-headed little girl who taught us more about sensory-friendly brushing than any research ever could.
Every style is still tested on real, wriggling, opinionated kids before it goes anywhere near a shop shelf.
